Poppy Playtime: Review
The game Poppy Playtime has blown up recently–and I’m here to review the game. It’s decently scary and requires some skills at puzzle-solving. It has jumpscares, puzzles, good graphics, and a nice storyline.
The game Poppy Playtime has blown up recently–and I’m here to review the game. It’s decently scary and requires some skills at puzzle-solving. It has jumpscares, puzzles, good graphics, and a nice storyline. Chapter 1 is about a doll named “Poppy” and a 10 feet creature called “Huggy Wuggy.” The plot of Chapter 1 is to explore an abandoned factory called “Playtime Co.” which was established in the 1950s. They used to create toys until all of the factory’s employees disappeared and went missing. A decade later, the protagonist, you, investigate the factory to find out what happened to those missing employees. What’s more unsettling about the mascots in this factory is that they’re all alive–and humanlike.
The goal is to survive, after you find out about Huggy Wuggy’s existence. Huggy Wuggy is a 10-foot tall creature with blue fur. He has incredibly long limbs, red lips, humanlike eyes, multiple mouths, and sharp, lethal teeth. The scariest scene in the game, in my opinion, is where Huggy Wuggy chases you in the vent, which is actually a very popular scene among the fans.
Huggy Wuggy’s ability is to hug, but it also seems that he is able to manipulate his size and shape, which is actually very terrifying.
Overall, Poppy Playtime seems to be getting big, almost like Squid Game, so there is no doubt in my mind that once Chapter 2 is released, it’ll start to get even more popular.
So, should you play Poppy Playtime?
If you enjoy horror and are up for a challenge (specifically, the challenge being puzzles), then yes, you should play. If you are not fond of any of those things, then no.
