Early High School College
Early College High School is a prestigious program that allows High School students to take college level classes. The program requires an application, which includes filling out an essay form. This year, five exceptional students got into ECHS
ECHS is a program that allows high school students to take college-level classes. Students apply to this program by filling out a form, writing an essay, then submitting recommendations by their current teachers. During ECHS, the students take college classes.
“ You do some classes that are at ACC or college-level, and then we do our normal high school classes, which is really cool and we can get our associate’s degree at the end.” Nathan (8) said.
One of the biggest perks of being accepted into ECHS is the fact that you can get your associate’s degree early along with getting your high school diploma. This enables you to have more opportunities in college and gives you valuable experience for college.
“At least try it [applying for ECHS], fill out the form and like, try to get in. Even if they’re not gonna go, they should just sign up for it.” Nathan said.
