HOKA, a shoe brand founded in 2009 in Annecy, France, has become increasingly popular among students. The shoe has been around for more than a decade, captivating runners and athletes alike. It is built for maximum comfort, and for the regular runner. HOKA also has different shoes for different levels of work and different feet types.
“I love my HOKAs…they’re flexible and ment for running,” Regan Weaver (7) said. “They’re the best for running.”
The shoe is built with cotton, wool, leather, and timber and are mostly recyclable and sustainable. Each shoe features the Cushioned Midsole, Active Foot Frame™, and MetaRocker™, which all create a specific performance rate for runners and athletes. Despite their cost, $96 to $171, the shoes seem to be worth it.
“I like the cushion…I like how pretty they are,” Elise Cubbage (7) said. “They keep our feet from not moving all over the place.”
The shoe has also become popular among adults. The shoe has different sizing for different feet shapes and stabilization for adults to help them run better.
“I’ve tried other shoes, but they’re not [as] good,” U.S. History teacher Ms. Buentello said. “They’re great for Disney parks, which are 10 miles.”
