Doubles is where four people play on a tennis court, two people on either side of the court. The upcoming Future Warriors Open is happening at Westwood High School.
Many people are participating in the Future Warriors Open because they want to get better at Tennis and have fun with their friends during matches.
“I think the Future Warriors Open is a good way to practice your Tennis and to also have fun because you get to play actual matches and you can cheer on your friends,” David Koo (7) said.
Tennis can be a learning experience and throughout some students’ journey in Tennis Club, they have learned a lot of things about Tennis that they can incorporate into their daily lives and challenges.
“I have learned that tennis requires a lot of skill and dedication to play well later on in your life,” Travis Grigsby (7) said.
Some students think that Tennis Tournaments are beneficial to them but they also think that some Tennis Tournaments are too serious and competitive and not everybody likes that type of mood.
“I think it is a good way to practice Tennis because you can get a feel for what actual tournaments are like but it’s super competitive and I don’t really like that,” Ethan Yang (7) said.
