Field Day is happening on May 20, 2025. Field Day is a fund-raised event for CVMS to bring everyone in each grade level together. There will be fun events to do like eating Kona Ice and Obstacle Course Racing which you can see and do with your friends. There are many events that are liked by a lot of people. This event will last throughout the entire school day.

“I think my favorite event will be the Dunk Tank because last year, it was really fun dunking teachers and watching their reactions when they actually got dunked,” David Hernan (8) said.  (Update: There will be no Dunk Tank this year).

This event was designed to bring the entire school together by letting everyone have a free day and choosing what they want to do whether it’s playing basketball with friends, drawing peacefully inside and participating in the events outside with your friends.

“I think field day is a good way to bring the school together because a lot of people make new friends and socialize on field day so there are some benefits,” Nicolas Pan (7) said.

On Field Day, there will be an altered schedule to accommodate all the grade levels and make sure the staff has organized everything. This is the altered schedule : After this schedule is completed, depending on your advisory, everyone who has signed up for the volleyball game against the staff will take place from 1:35 – 2:25. If you have second advisory, everyone who has signed up to compete against the staff in a volleyball game from 2:35 – 3:25. After 3:25, students will stay in their advisories till the end of the school day.

“I like Field Day but I wish there could be a little more events or different things each year because every year that I participate in Field Day, it’s kinda just the same thing every year,” Neel Nambisan (7) said.
