Get to Know the Opinionist Staff!

Hey you! Yes, you! Do you like humor? Do you like facts? Do you like videos? Then you will love the Opinionist. It’s a great new web-series full of colorful characters, with a fascinating crew and cast.

Oliver Barnfield is the mastermind. He wrote, directed, filmed, and starred in this show, and hopes to continue it far into the future. “I had been working on This Week in Pop Culture which was purely text articles. I loved TV, movies, and music, but I knew that my humor wouldn’t convey itself on the page. So I turned to the idea of a video series. I interviewed the staff and then realized that each person had such a unique personality, like characters, so that’s where the show really bloomed.”

Zack Catuogno is the downtrodden emo. He always interjects with a depressing sayings that darken the mood. We talked to him and here’s what he said: “Go away Branton, stop interviewing me.”

Erith and Keana are constantly arguing fangirls with differing opinions on nearly everything. “The show is great, but I just wish that Erith wasn’t involved.” says Keana. “Keana is the worst part of the show, in my opinion” said Erith bitterly.

Sharanya and Rachel are #BFFS with attitude. (Please note that I was paid to write that and would never write those words on purpose.) They are some swag ladies who always have interesting opinions!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keshav is a math genius with a scientific outlook on everything. “You see Branton, an opinion is a judgment, viewpoint, or statement that is not conclusive. It may deal with subjective matters in which there is no conclusive finding. What distinguishes fact from opinion is that facts are more likely to be verifiable, i.e. can be agreed to by the consensus of experts.Opinions rarely change without new arguments being presented. It can be reasoned that one opinion is better supported by the facts than another by analyzing the supporting arguments.” he said. I responded that I hadn’t asked him about any of that. “Ah, who cares.” he muttered.

Andrew Bailey is the one who brings the cast full circle. When I asked him about what he thought of the video series he said, “Well, I get to show off my buff bod on camera… so It’s pretty cool, I guess.” After this he sprinted to the athletics room to lift some weights.

Other contributors include Evan Tucker, who wrote the upcoming third episode, and Riley Stanford, who is the show’s world news expert. Truly a great cast and staff for an exceptional show!
