Best of 2014

It seems like just yesterday, Canyon Echoes was first introduced to our school. But after a year and a half of valuable experience, Canyon Echoes is back with the Best of 2014, filled with articles and videos ranging from staff favorites to most popular hits.

  • Our second year of Canyon Echoes was kicked off with a letter from the editors.
  • On September 19th, 2014, Canyon Echoes aired its first ever broadcast.
  • We captured some of Canyon Vista’s unique ceiling tiles created by our own art students, both current and graduated.
  • Canyon Vista and Chisholm Trail Middle School switched principals for one day, so we hosted an interview of 20 questions with Robert Sormani, the principal of Chisholm Trail.
  • The students and staff reflected on the importance of Thanksgiving and what we’re thankful for.
  • We interviewed several seventh grade Lady Mustangs and compiled the answers into the Seventh Grade Volleyball Video.
  • In celebration of Halloween, one of our staff members gave a tutorial on how to create an easy to make masquerade mask.
  • Canyon Vista took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and discovered how exactly ALS affects those who have it.
  • A famous composer visited the Canyon Vista Band for the first time.
  • A staff member gave an in-depth tutorial on how to create a website.
  • Students participated in the Hour of Code event during their advisories.
  • Canyon Echoes hosted our second annual Guess Who? Contest.
  • And to wrap up 2014, we produced a Canyon Echoes Holiday Special video.
