Dark lights, pounding music, and glow bracelets. Most of Canyon Vista’s student body swayed their heads and danced to the beat while adorned with bright lights and neon at the school dance held Friday, November 8th.

The theme for the dance was “Light Up the Night.” Just like any other dance, the theme was well carried out with the help of the enthusiastic students and their party accessories. The concessions stand had an eager demand of students waiting in line for one dollar goodies. The delicious smells of pizza flooded the hallways with a tempting aroma. The concessions stand was manned by Robotics Club while the Newsmedia Class worked the photobooth.

The photobooth attracted many. Students paid a dollar to get their photos taken with props and friends. A variety of neon-colored props were available for use and a superb splatter paint backdrop was provided. Be sure to check out the photobooth gallery by clicking here.

The enthusiasm of attendees lasted all through the night, and will hopefully continue to last into their studies the following week. One thing’s for sure: Light Up the Night was one impressive party.
