The iPad Air is a new tablet developed by Apple. It has many features, such as the A7 chip, which is the fastest processor that Apple has created and it also has iOS 7 which is the latest operating system for Apple tablets. The display adds to the gossip about this marvelous tablet. In my opinion, the retina display gives you the feeling that the money you spent was worth it. With a high resolution, and 3.1 million pixels on the 9.7 inch screen, the view of any app or video that you’re seeing gives you the feeling that you are actually experiencing what you wanted.

The tools for the iPad Air are many, but one useful feature is the multitasking. You can scroll through your currently open applications. The weight of the iPad Air is incredible. It is 1 pound, which is 28% lighter, 20% thinner, and 24% less volume than the previous iPad. It’s amazing changes give it a nice look compared to the old iPad. Even though the iPad Air has many new changes, the 10 hour battery life remains the same.

The A7 chip isn’t just powerful, it is also efficient. If you are away from a wifi signal, and want to get on the Internet, you can buy the wifi+cellular iPad Air. The iPad Air with wifi+cellular lets you do things that require wifi in places where there is no wifi. The wifi is two times faster!! Now iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are just a few apps that come for free with the iPad Air.

Something to consider is to get a cover or case to protect your iPad Air. Both protect the ipad however the cover leaves the iPad more exposed. The case, on the other hand, will protect your iPad more but it will add more bulk to the iPad and also the design will look less cool. However, both do their job by opening your iPad when you take off the cover/case, and shutting it down when you put the cover/case back on. They can also serve as a good stand, making the iPad and the cover/case great partners.

One more important thing about the iPad Air is the price. In fact not just the iPad Air but also all the newly released Apple products that are tablets are $499. If you are worried about price, then the iPad Air is not for you. The iPad Air is very competitive with many other tablets but most importantly with the new Nexus 7 that was made by Asus (Google). The specs of both tablets are fantastic in their own aspects. The Nexus 7 was made in the summer of 2013. This tablet has many features that are compatible with the iPad Air. However, the iPad Air has a slightly worse resolution due to a bigger screen.

Overall, If you are willing to pay some extra money to have a more powerful, and speedy tablet, the iPad Air would be a great Christmas present for you.
