Orange you glad that oranges are filled with so many healthy nutrients?

These tangy fruits are well-known for their Vitamin C content. Vitamin C boosts your immune system so you will be less likely to catch a common cold. It’s necessary for us because it  repairs and regenerates tissues in our body, protects us from having heart diseases, and prevents us from getting types of cancers. It also helps keep our skin looking healthy and feeling soft by helping fight against skin damage caused by the sun.

Many people know the proverb “an apple a day keeps the doctor away,” but an orange is just as effective. These nutritious snacks both contain a great amount of different supplements, like magnesium, potassium, Vitamin C, calcium, fiber and other minerals that help and protect our body from diseases and viruses.

There are several different types of oranges: Navel, Blood, Valencia… but all of them are best grown and eaten from winter to spring. Depending on the area, the looks and taste of these citrus fruit varies, from sour to sweet, to orange-colored or red-colored. Oranges are most commonly found in Florida, which is why one of their nicknames is “the orange state.” The climate in Florida is perfect for growing perfect, juicy oranges. Besides in the sunshine state, this fruit is also plentiful in California, Arizona, and Texas.

Vitamin C, fiber, potassium, and calcium are some of the many vitamins and minerals that are packed in an orange. Filled with numerous essentials, an orange is a sweet and healthy option for a delicious snack.
