Five Ways We Can Help our Planet

As a community, we see that our planet has been getting torn up bit by bit. There have been environmental issues all over the world. Some of these issues are out of our control to fix. But others are not, what are some ways we can help make our planet better and healthier?

Preserve water
Conserving water is taking shorter showers, or not filling the bathtub up too high. Turning off the water when you are brushing your teeth or filling up a glass of water to only the amount you need. These are all ways to help conserve water in your homes.

Plant a tree
By planting a tree you are giving our planet another natural cleaner. Trees produce oxygen which cleans the air we breathe. It also provides food, giving animals an additional source to feast on.

Reduce, reuse, and recycle
Using the 3 R’s is a key technique in helping make our world better. By reducing waste, reusing items, and recycling there can be less garbage ending up in the ocean, there will be less litter, and there will be fewer plastics and harmful chemicals released into the air.

Be a helping hand
Volunteering is a fantastic way to help the world. It helps so many areas of weakness in our planet and even by just going to one event every month, you are making a big difference in cleaning Earth. Types of volunteer work entail trash pick up, river clean up, helping contribute your money and/or time to a community garden, and many more.

Being Educated
Even though it might not seem like you are helping the world, you truly are. Just by being educated on the environment and on the issues the planet is having you are already going to make changes. Since you are aware of this, you will do your best to try and help. You can also educate others and then they will become more aware. The more you know, the more positive changes you can make in your everyday life.

All in all, there are many ways to help contribute to the health of our world. It could be by preserving water, planting a tree, using the 3 R’s, volunteering, or just simply being educated on the subject. No matter what method of help you choose, our world thanks you.
