Saloni and Sailee Chitari

The Canyon Vista Theater is putting on the musical “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” on Feb. 16 at 7 p.m., Feb. 17 at 7 p.m., and Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Canyon Vista cafeteria. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and non-Canyon Vista district staff, and tickets are free for Canyon Vista staff. Tickets can be purchased on the RRISD online box office or in person.

Maddie Zeigler and Anna Bruce are the female leads, and they both play “Belle” in the production. The directors are Mr. Jacob Vigil, Mr. Raul Vara,  and Mrs. Jennifer Gonzalez.

“I want to see the kids do it. I want to see them shine. That’s what I’m most excited about, is that the kids get to see the fruition of all their hard work.” Mrs. Gonzalez, one of the directors of Beauty and the Beast Jr. said. “We’ve had so many people behind the scenes come in. People helping to clean up backstage I mean, it’s even as simple as that, to helping to paint the sets, helping with the costume. The kids who come in to organize that, and really take ownership of it, it’s phenomenal.”
