This year at Canyon Vista, Ms. Krull retired after 17 years as the Geometry teacher, and was replaced by Ms. Friesenhahn.
Ms. Krull has been teaching the advanced subject of Geometry to 8th graders, and this year she retired to relax in Corpus Christi.
“(She was) very straightforward (in her teaching style), she taught you like a 10th grader. She didn’t baby you. She also taught with high vigor,” Ms. Friesenhahn, the new geometry teacher, said.
Friesenhahn is the new Geometry teacher at Canyon Vista. This year is her 18th year teaching, and her alma mater (college she graduated from) is the University of Michigan.
“She (Krull) was excited when I told her I wanted to teach Geometry, she was super supportive and helpful,” Friesenhahn said.
Krull worked 17 years at CVMS, 20 years as a teacher, and before that spent ten years in the semiconductor industry.
“I really liked how she (Krull) held high standards for her students and treated everyone fairly; And she was so positive,” Friesenhahn said.
Krull will be remembered for her teaching style, her knowledge of education for 20 years, and being the old Cross Country coach before Ms. Buentello. She also administered the AMC test and MathCounts to students who wanted to test themselves.
