For the new year, many students and staff have made New Year’s revolutions for the New Year. In result, students and staff have all different preferences, opinions, and habits they want to change.
When you make resolutions for the New Year, they are mostly about habits or things people want to change in their lives or around them.
“For me it’s more to get on top of tasks, like assignments at school. Also, another New Year’s resolution is to be a better friend in general,” Nayomi Anad (6) said.
Sometimes people have New Year’s resolutions that they made before, and had trouble keeping up with. With habits, new year’s resolutions can come in handy and help tackle those habits but still have a good and healthy mind about the resolution .
“I walked my dog every day before my son was born, my dog and I went on these epic long walks! But after my son was born I had trouble keeping up with them, and my resolution is to take him on long walks more often again,” Ms. Phillips said.
People have a lot of habits they’d like to get rid of, and they take New Year’s resolutions to do it. This is the time to own up for all the bad habits they have stored up, and get rid of them.
“Yes, I have been trying to keep my room clean, and eat and be healthier. So I have been working out more, and trying my best to clean my room, and keep it clean,” Rylie Gaines (8) said.
When you make New Year’s resolutions, the hardest thing to do is to stay with them.
“One resolution of mine is to drink more water, and I actually have not done a cup probably since the first. But I will keep on trying,” Ms. Granados said.
