WeatherBug Weather Station

WeatherBug Weather Station

With the combined efforts of PTA, Mrs. Hagerty, Physical Education, Athletics, and the Tennis Club, we were able to purchase our very own WeatherBug weather station.  It allows us to have real time weather statistics and monitor the weather even more closely.  It is mounted on top of the school and is available for the public and community to access as well.

I think it’s pretty self explanatory but, the WeaterBug weather station is mounted on top of CVMS and it reports the weather to us on the website dedicated to it. It works mainly for our school but, the community around us and the US itself can use it too. The WeatherBug helps us tell the weather outside and it’s pretty accurate too. We’ll know when it’s raining so we will bring an umbrella.

The WeatherBug Program is truly innovative and supports improved learning and STEM concept connections and skills development for students.  Beyond the classroom benefits, the WeatherBug Program will provide Canyon Vista with live weather data and advanced warning capabilities for lighting and other severe weather. It will also serve as a valuable weather information resource that will be available to local television and accessible to the community on smartphones and via the Internet.

The WeatherBug Program can be used in all grades and will be available to all students and teachers both at school and at home. It supports National and State Education Standards, EETT, and STEM concept developments.

Thank you Canyon Vista for providing us a great weather tracker……WEATHERBUG.
