The Book Fair
Books, pens, pencils, and journals are among the many items available at this year’s Book Fair. The Book Fair is a great time to stock up on recent new books and other fun trinkets. We’re able to host it every year thanks to our brilliant librarian, Mrs. Stiles.
Mrs. Stiles enjoys running the event, and a great upside to the Book Fair is that 25% of the profits goes to the school towards the library department. This money can be used for events like talks with authors and additional items, such as books and more IPads.
Many were excited about this year’s Book Fair. It takes place from the October 10th to 17th, opening at 7:50 a.m. and closing at 4:15 p.m. everyday. The only times you are allowed to go to the Book Fair are during advisory, after school, and before school if you have money.
If you aren’t sure what a Book Fair is, it’s a time when you can purchase books at a cheaper price right at your very own school library. It’s more convenient and less expensive compared to going to a store such as Barnes and Noble. At the Book Fair, you can find the newest books that kids and teens all around the world love. Books available range from “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul” to “The Hunger Games”.
Lots of Mustangs enjoy this event. “I like the Book Fair, its fun to see all the books,” said 7th grader Aditya Desai. He prefers to read sci-fi and fantasy books to other genres. Books that he recommends are “The Blood Of Olympus”, “Diary of A Wimpy Kid”, and “Legend Trilogy”.
Sometimes, we might question if we should download a book or buy a book. Next time, keep in mind that the money earned goes to additions for our very own library. The Book Fair has many cool books and other items that will be on sale, so be sure to check them out soon!
