If you like strong emotions this series of 3 fantastic books is your best deal. Today I will talk to you about the first book “Shadow and Bone”.

My opinion on the first book is very strong I LOVED it. It may seem long at the beginning but every time you might get bored the author makes sure to put in something to make you stay.

The Grisha trilogy is about two orphans Alina and Mal. But one day the Fold this place where lives volcras birds that could kill you in just one strike is created. Alina and Mal then go fighting but during a battle Alina discovers that she has a power no one ever saw before. She is then taken far from Mal to learn to fight because she might be the only hope to save Ravka from the Fold. But the royal court is filled with traitors. Alina will she succeed to destroy the Fold. I am currently reading the 3 book of the trilogy and until now the book has been one of the best books I ever read.

I loved this book because it is written at the first person and I usually don’t like it that much but since it is Alina that things happen to it is a great writing style to use. Also I love how the author describes all of Alina’s feeling so carefully and is explaining every scene with so much detail that you feel like you are there too. My last reason is because I love the characters Alina, Mal, the Darkling just because they all have their own world, own type of feelings, and own characteristic. So over all this trilogy is one of the best I have ever read and if you wish to read it guess what?

They are all in our library just go to the Fantasy section and look for the 3 letters BAR.
