Justin Elliott was born and raised in Wharton, Texas with his adopted brother and sister. As a kid, he had originally wanted to become a marine biologist, but when he moved to San Marcos in 4th grade, his passion grew to teaching. Mr. Elliott graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in Fine Arts Theater and a minor in English. He is certified in both subjects.

In 2005, Mr. Elliott became a theater teacher at Canyon Vista Middle School. One of his favorite parts of teaching is sharing stories in class. As a teacher, one of his jobs is to direct our school plays and musicals. One of Elliott’s favorite plays to put on was Romeo and Juliet. “It was really a top notch show, and we won first place at the Texas Renaissance Festival,” Elliott said. This is his 10th year of teaching at CVMS.

Some of Mr. Elliott’s hobbies include reading, collecting vinyl records, camping, and video gaming. His favorite play is the musical “Rent” and his favorite movie is “The Princess Bride”.

Mr. Elliott is a great teacher to have around and help you whenever.
