Q: Where did you grow up?

A: I moved a lot but mostly grew up in Orlando, Florida.

Q: Growing up did you have a specific job you wanted to do?

A: I wanted to be a doctor and major in pre-med, biology.

Q: Where did you go to college?

A:  I went to the University of Houston.

Q: Have you taught anywhere else, if so, where?

A: I taught at small Pettus ISD, Irving in Dallas, Katie ISD and finally, a counselor in Lamar ISD.

Q: Why did you choose to be a counselor?

A: Teaching for a while has shown me and made me realize that I want to spend more time talking and helping my students instead of teaching them a specific subject.

Q: Do you have any family that is in the teaching industries, if so who?

A: Yes! I have two sisters that teach, a cousin that teaches at Cedar Valley, and my dad is a college professor.

Q: Why did you choose to come to Canyon Vista instead of another school?

A: I decided to come to Canyon Vista because I was moving here in July, but I also loved the teachers and staff here.

Q: What is the one thing you most enjoy about being a counselor?

A: Spending time talking to students about what’s going on and how to help and support them.
