Interviews are ways to get to know people, in this interview, we talk with Mrs.Kuttanna, Language Arts teacher.

Canyon Echoes Reporter : Can you introduce yourself?

Mrs Kuttanna : Hi my name is Mrs. Kuttanna and this is my 2nd year teaching at Canyon Vista.

Canyon Echoes Reporter : For how long have you been teaching?

Mrs Kuttanna : I have been teaching for 4 years.

Canyon Echoes Reporter : Have you ever taught something else than Language art ?

Mrs. Kuttanna : I have taught math intervention for 6, 7, 8th grade, and ESL ( English Second Language ).

Canyon Echoes Reporter : When did you realize you wanted to be a teacher ?

Mrs Kuttanna : My mother was a teacher and always told me that I should be one too. And when my daughter arrived in Middle School I decided to give it a tried and I realized that I loved teaching middle schoolers.

Canyon Echoes Reporter : Why did you want to be a teacher ?

Mrs Kuttanna : Teaching is the base of everything. I want to give good inflence to my students and help them suceed. I also love it because it is rewarding to me.

Canyon Echoes Reporter : Is there something in particular you would like to do with your Language Art classes? Field trips, projects?

Mrs. Kuttanna : I would love to do more Makerspace because students come up with so many different creative projects.

Canyon Echoes Reporter : How would you describe yourself with three adjectives, as a  teacher ?

Mrs Kuttanna : Easy going, nice, and approachable.

Canyon Echoes Reporter : What are your favorite books ?

Mrs Kuttanna : Wonder, and My 13th Winter

Canyon Echoes Reporter : What are certain author’s you would recommend to your students?

Mrs Kuttanna : Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle, Roald Dahl, and Alfred Hitchcock

Canyon Echoes Reporter : Can you tell us what you are hoping to do as a Language Arts teacher?

Mrs Kuttanna : I want to help students to read more and enjoy it also help them to write more often. Most students need to let their ideas flow.
