Rihanna

Rihanna realized her first album in 2005 after living a hard life in the Caribbean. Her father was an alcoholic that made her parents have many fights and almost made them split. Her first album was a big hit and sold almost two million copies. Those few recordings started her career as a pop culture figure. One of her first songs Pon de Replay made it to the charts. After she realized that one of her songs made the charts she decided that she would go back to the studio and start recording her second alum (A Girl Like Me). In A girl Like me, three of Rihanna’s songs made it to the top ten. After this, she became a pop idol of the 2000’s.

In 2006 she changed her genre of music from reggae to pop and she changed her personality too. In 2005 she still was a Caribbean girl while in 2006 she became an American pop star who changed her entire appearance from head to toe. Two years later Rihanna writes a song with Jay-Z called Umbrella and is granted a Grammy. That next year Rihanna experienced one of the worst things that could happen to most girls and that is getting into a fight with your boyfriend. Rihanna Got in a heated discussion with her boyfriend at that time (Chris Brown) who hurt her.

 In 2010 Rihanna steps out of this dark period and releases a new album named Rated R. History repeats itself and three songs from that album make it to top ten. Now in the recent decade, you hear Rihanna’s songs all the time and you see her everywhere like newspapers, Magazines and all over social media. So now that we know her past we should get to know her current day status is. Rihanna’s songs have gone through many genres. It started out at reggae than to pop and now on rap. She follows with current day trends and then changes them to be her own. In the 90’s reggae was popular in the Caribbean then she moved to America during the 2000’s where Pop was making a stand. Nowadays teenagers have started listening to more rap so she released rap albums. Rihanna is such a confident and strong-willed person. She believes in herself and believes that anything she wants she can conquer.
