The Austin Food + Wine Festival

The Austin Food + Wine Festival

One of Austin’s most popular events is the The Austin Food and Wine Festival. This event is only open to adults because kids cannot drink wine. In 2017 it was April 28-30, 2017 at the Auditorium Shores and Fair Market. The attendees have to sign up for it. Last year the prices for the tickets were $625 for the All-In, which included a pass to almost everything, the Weekender which included a pass that was exactly the same as the All-In, except that it did not have a pass to two of the All-In events, and the special event ticket, Feast Under the Stars, which was not included in any of the other tickets and had to be bought separately. The festival has a lot of food, wine, cooking demos from amazing chefs, and night-time dinners, this event is a very fun and unique experience.

Obviously, the point of having any sort of festival is to have people go to the festival and enjoy themselves. Do people actually want to go, though? “Yes, I would like that!” Ms. Patricia Dreiling, substitute teacher, said. Ms. Dreiling seemed very enthusiastic about this idea, considering that it was in Austin and it  sounded like it had lots interesting things to do. “Yes, that would be awesome,” Mrs. Carol Duncan, substitute teacher, said. Mrs. Duncan and Ms. Dreiling were asked this question together and they were very intrigued by this event. The last person that was asked if they wanted to go to this event was a bit hesitant when she answered. “I think I would like something like that,” Ms. Nancy Moeller, said. To many people this event probably sounded like something that would take a lot of planning and would be too complicated. There are plenty of people in this world who would say no to this event also.

Even though there are many opinions of the Austin Food and Wine Festival, they are all opinions with their logical defense. But, if you ever need some time in April to get out and maybe relax for a weekend, consider going to the Austin Food and Wine Festival!
