Middle School Fears

If you’ve ever seen a movie about middle school and thought, “OH MY GOD! I AM GOING TO DIE!” This is a big misconception. In the movies, middle school is highly toxic and exaggerated. Most middle schools are nothing like the movies. Many kids going into middle school watch these movies and stereotypes of middle school and are scared out of their minds. Fear not for I will explain to you the fears of going to middle school.

One: Getting your lunch money stolen from you

Stealing is a criminal offense. No middle school student, no matter how dumb they are, will want to go to jail. Lunch money goes straight from your hand to the cafeteria cashier. There is little to no worry of getting your lunch money stolen. However, if you bring a million dollars to lunch, then I would say you are in some trouble.

Two: Getting shoved into a locker

For most students, It’s quite hard to get shoved into a locker. Two, why would somebody want to shove you in a locker? Sure middle school may have some fights sometimes but if you don’t pick a fight you probably won’t get into one. If you get into one, do not fight back however much your anger. If you care about your studies then don’t. Even if you defended yourself you probably will also face a consequence. You should always go straight to the teacher and report them.

Three: Way too much homework

This is a very common phobia, but as you go on in the year you will find that it is not that hard. You will get math homework every day of the week including Friday but the amount of homework is very bearable. If you give yourself enough time and pace yourself you will have no problem in middle school.

In conclusion, these are three very common fears that I have identified and debunked. Middle school, If handled correctly will be a very fun and happy time of your life. Sure there are some hardships but that happens in every grade. You have nothing to fear about middle school.
