The Works of Salvador Dali

Here are some of Salvador Dali’s most famous works.

The Persistence of Memory

Salvador Dali was an artist, best known for his surrealist and illusionary works. Born in Figueres, a small town outside Barcelona,  Dali is one of the artists involved in the surrealist movement. Surrealism is a cultural movement that developed in Europe following World War I, in which artists depicted unnerving, illogical scenes. Other famous artists involved in the movement include Jean Arp, Max Ernst, André Masson, René Magritte, Yves Tanguy, Pierre Roy, Paul Delvaux, and Joan Miró.

Dali is perhaps the best-known artist of that movement, famous for his imagery of melting clocks and similarly dreamlike paintings. Here are some of his most famous works.
