There are several teachers whose children are also students here. Two of those teachers are Coach Govea and Mrs. Lauffer.

“I love having Annika on campus, especially when she gives me a hug during passing period,” Mrs. Lauffer said of 7th grader Annika Lauffer.

“I love how my mom has a home cooked meal almost every day for me and the rest of my family to dig into, and I love that after a long and difficult day I can count on her to be there to pick me up,” said Annika Lauffer.

6th grader Javen Barrientes also enjoys having his mom on campus. “She doesn’t embarrass me as much as I thought she would,” he said about Coach Govea.

“I love seeing him in the hallways and throughout the day.  I love knowing his teachers and being able to check in on him occasionally,” Coach Govea said.

Our moms, whether they work at Canyon Vista or somewhere else, are essential to the success of our school. Canyon Echoes wishes all Mustang Moms a very Happy Mother’s Day!
